Dynamically Elastic Braid Geometry for IEM/Portable headphones.
We've counted, after the Y on our headphone cable we put approximately 200 braided knots per side into our cable, all done by hand. The braided knots are so tightly woven that the polymer exterior becomes compressed like a spring resulting in a Dynamically Elastic Braid geometry (DCS or DCSG). similar to a spring, the cable can be stretched ever so slightly. This stretchiness offloads any instant pulling stress along the cable to the clear flexible polymer itself, protecting the delicate connectors, the hair thin litz wire inside the cable, and of course your IEMs.
The other result; A gentle feedback system that can make the difference between a cable quickly becoming snagged and launching your IEMs and a gentler tug alerting the wearer to imminent disaster which allows the wearer a bit of reaction time to prevent the accidental snag.
Why do we take so much time and effort to hand make our Dynamically Elastic Braid Geometry? Because we know the pain of tearing cables accidentally as well as the pain of losing an IEM to environmental hazards and so we designed Dreddz to help mitigate this issue as much as possible.
